First of all need to get them warmed up fast by putting them in a box with flannel or fleece and set a heating pad under outside of box set on low. Then need to let them warm up for about 1/2 hour. Should feed them with a 1 cc syringe feed: 1 part esbilac formula to 2 parts water (get at any pet store). Feed every 2-2 and 1/2 hours for a total of 7-9 feeding a day. Then can go to feedings every 3 hours for a total of 6-8 hours a day. When eyes open and fur begins to look smooth can d/c the night feedings. But feed formula 6-7 times a day. When the ears are open and well developed and they are learning to stand but still wobbly and the tail is not yet curling feed formula 5-6 times a day. When tail is fully furred put small pieces of rodent or monkey chow (on line stores ir in pet stores) in the cage and they will begin to nibble. Feed formula 5 times a day. When cat sit on haunches curl tail and hold foods in front paws. Offer a variety of weaning foods and natural food in the cage such as nuts, cheerios, fruits, eggs, sweet potato (raw). feed formula 4 times day. When They are starting to explore outside of nest then need to be in a climbing cage with branches and plenty of weaning food given in cage. still feed formula 3 times day.When tails are bushy and they are more solid food and venture outside nest more. They may show charging behavior and not want to be helf for feedings any more. Offer formula through the cage or soak cheerios with it. When can chew through a whole walnut and show fear of predators and humans and kisplay good motor skills put them into outdoor pre-release cage with many branches so they learn climbing and jumping skills. When about 14 weeks old they can be released if all goes well. Keep in mind this is is you have to raise them which you should not do. The best thing is for these babies to be back with mamma. So after warm them up and give some formula or even a little sip of pedilyte When it is dry outside I would take them and put in a box and put box under where you found them. Watch hidden for about a hour so that cats or other things do not bother. Momma will hear their cries and come get them. She may have been in middle of moving them as they carry them like a cat carries kittens. But only one at a time. If for some reason this does not work then you need to call a vet that can refer you to a wildlife rehabber in your area and you can bring them there or sometimes they will pick up. it is free of charge for all wildlife. But until either of these things happen keep warm feed the best you can and stimulate them to go potty by rubbing privates with a q-tip or a cotton ball. Good luck and nice of you to help them. i would say that the squirrels would live right where they were, because if a tree fell in a forest with 'no one' around to hear it fall, the squirrels were never there to hear it, conveniently enough because i have chosen to interpret your 'no one' as no living creature.
This may relate to the migration that took place when this conundrum was first tested; before every tree in Europe was cut down for the lucrative ( at the time ) tooth pick markets of Genoa and Venice, as well as the illegal and heretic worship of bundles of sticks and mud that was running rampant in the Caspian mountains at the time. The good Friars of the Bloody Big Toe of St. Kigass( Piegan Saint, Pieganism the worship of delicious baked goods sect eastern temple ) loved to test the same old theories as they were the de facto body of knowledge and despite having many strange superstitions they would brave the forest to implement test upon test to prove what they all ready new, this way they new they would never make a mistake; and this maintained their sense of order. It was a sad day indeed when upon stumbling into the forest one cold night in the month of the festival of the Holy Goat Bladder of St. Colostomy of the Bag (Piegan Saint second time beatified 1099 by the usurper High Baker Chad ) when the good friars noticed that all the squirrels were packing up and heading out. The sight of it is recorded in an ancient account ( as told by the only friar to escape name unknown ) was so beguiling that the friars went too close and that's when the squirrels charged. The squirrels had it up to their, well any way they were feed up with all the disruptions with trees being felled hither and yonder, and the friars never cleaning up after themselves that they declared that they must be nuts and carried them away to be stored for later use. The squirrels never returned, nor the trees, and the order of the Bloody Big Toe of St. Kigass has faded into the sea of no more, where no one has ever been, and nothing is known.

Getting squirrels is fairly easy but certain ones outsmart me like going on the opposite side of a tree?

a good squirrel dog helps but if you don,t have one just pick up a rock or a tree limb off the ground and throw it in the woods on the side he is hiding on and he will come around to you
next time you go take some string with you and when you start to walk around the tree tie the string to a small bush then walk around to the other side and when ready pull the string to shake the bush and that should have that squirrel on your side of the tree then take your shot

Best way to deal with it, is to take a cheap slingshot and some little rocks with you. Sure, you can throw rocks, but there is alot of motion in throwing rocks. With the slingshot, just launch your little rock into the brush on the squirrel's side of the tree...preferably thirty feet or so from the tree...then get ready, because the squirrel will usually think you got the slip on him, and jump back around the tree pretty quick.
Then, he's supper!
when hunting alone you can use your orange hat to lay on the ground then walk to the other side of the tree.This usually works very well.

I agree with that tactic but also find that if I just move away from the tree a little way and just wait, the squirrel will often come around the tree to see where I am or if I have left. Just be ready and harvest him. Of course, you must be alert to the possibility that he may simply try to go to another tree and you will have to keep scanning the tree tops for him. When I hunt I am not in any hurry so I like the waiting method. A big part of the hunt for me is just being in the woods and enjoying the scenery. If I bring home squirrels, it is just icing on the cake.
in my younger days, i used to take a couple of large steel bearings with me. holding in one hand and clicking them together makes a sound like a squirrel barking. being a mite curious, old mr. squirrel naturally looks around to see who's yelling at him. you'd be surprised at how well this works.

I have a silver maple tree in my backyard and i can't the squirrels to stop eating it!!!! they break off small branches and peel and eat the bark off of other branches. Only mammals have the taste buds for the burn of cayenne pepper. I got a tall jar of it for $2 at market and sprinkle it on bird feeder seed. Birds act as if nothing's there, squirrels hate it. I'd try making a paste of it with water and coating top side of branches and, depending on how tall it is or close to other trees they can jump from, put some on trunk.
