Do squirrels live in trees?

Hmm, that depends on whether you are speaking of ground squirrels or tree squirrels, there are both.

Tree squirrels such as the Eastern Grey (comes in a reddish, grey, and black version), the Red squirrel (also known as a Pine squirrel...)and the nocturnal flying squirrel all do live in trees, their diet is primarily the nut and seeds from the trees in which the inhabit.

But there is also a large population and variety of ground squirrels who nest within dug underground warrens. These tend to be larger, and have a diet largely consisting of grassess, seeds and other ground vegetation.

So, yes, tree squirrels live in trees, and ground squirrels, well, they live on and under the ground.

Hope that helps.Do squirrels live in trees?
