I have a nut tree in my back yard which the squirrels love. How do i keep them from eating the nuts?

There isn't much you can do. You could place squirrel feeders a few yards away from the tree, and then keep moving them away until they're a considerable distance from it, forcing the squirrels to relocate, but that will only work if the squirrels feel that the food source is more consistent at the feeders, and it probably won't be.

Share the wealth. Let the squirrels have some nuts. They can't possibly eat that much.I have a nut tree in my back yard which the squirrels love. How do i keep them from eating the nuts?
Option 1) Cut down the tree

Option 2) Plant another tree of the same type in your neighbor's yard

Option 3) Spray the tree with animal repellent

I don't mean to be too abrasive, but there is little you can do that is labor/cost effective. As long as the tree stands, it will attract squirrels (and birds, and insects, etc.).

The best course of action is to realize that you can't control what the squirrels do and be thankful for the nuts you get that they don't.I have a nut tree in my back yard which the squirrels love. How do i keep them from eating the nuts?
The best method of squirrel control is by using the Kania Trap 2000. The lastest issue of ';the Nutshell'; official publication of the Northern Nut Growers Association of North America has an excellent article on squirrel control for nuts. The Kania Trap 2000 comes highly recommended in the article.
Feed the squirrels other, easier, better stuff?

Then maybe you'd at least get to have some of your nut crop. (peanuts in shell or sunflower seeds bought in bulk, etc.)

Put up a suet block that they can get to. (Then you can also watch the birds besides the antics of the squirrels, lol.)

Don't kill the squirrels or anything like that though!
try putting rubber snakes around the base of the tree, a natural enemy of small animals.
They sell netting to throw over fruit and nut trees.
I don't think there is a way. Good luck.
